THE FOUNDER

JENNIE HU

Jennie came to New Zealand in 2003 with a big vision: to create a space for artists and creatives to share ideas, respect differences and invite dialogue. Inspired by a trip to Japan where she visited the Mi Ho Museum Project, she wanted to enable the arts communities to come together and create. Jennie is part of a small group of art patrons in New Zealand who are deeply committed to developing new initiatives and see them grow. Jennie has actively invested in the works of Billy Apple. Vincent Ward, Wang Dong Ling, and supported numerous young artists during their residencies at HUs in Auckland and VUE in Shanghai. She is the founder of Vincent Ward Projects Ltd.(2010-2018), Public Art Foundation, Young Artist Foundation, Artist Residence in NZ (HUS) and in Shanghai (VUE). She is a member of the Campaign Board of University of Auckland (2017-2020), The Advisory Board of the New Zealand China Council (2017-2020) and the Founder and Director of Findr Lab Production (China).
